JD SMITH JEWELERS TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

SPECIAL ORDERS AND CUSTOM WORK requires a 50% non-refundable deposit.

 

EXCHANGE AND RETURN POLICY

We will be happy to exchange any unaltered merchandise in new and original condition within 30 DAYS for credit or exchange. Sale, clearance, consignment purchases, completed layaways, special orders, modified and/or custom pieces are not returnable or exchangeable. Gift recipients will be issued a store merchandise credit only. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash. There will be a $34.00 charge for returned checks.

 

SERVICING AND CLEANING

JD Smith Jewelers will clean and check the prongs of any item purchased here free of charge. We recommend that this be done at least twice per year. While this is a wise precaution, it does not serve as a guarantee against any accidental damage or loss incurred after the servicing. JD Smith Jewelers offers appraisal services for any of your fine jewelry items. Appraisal fees vary; please ask us for a price quote. Consult your insurance agent for information about how to insure your important pieces of jewelry against loss, accidental damage, or any other mishap.

 

GEMSTONE ENHANCEMENT DISCLOSURES

Gemstone purchasers should be aware that natural gemstones are processed from the time they are extracted from the earth by one or more traditionally-accepted gem and jewelry industry practices. All colored gemstones listed on this sale receipt have most likely been subjected to a stable and possibly undetectable enhancement process to improve color and/or stability. Such enhancements may include, but are not limited to, heat, irradiation, and impregnation. All relevant information will be readily provided to the best of our knowledge. Prevailing market values are based on these universally practiced and accepted processes by the gem and jewelry trade.

A representative of JD Smith Jewelers may determine that additional information or work is needed after further inspection after repair drop off. You will be contacted before work has begun regarding any changes or additional costs. In accepting this merchandise, it is understood that this store or any of its employees are not responsible for the condition or identification of the jewelry or stones at the time of receipt. Since mans stone treatments such as fracture filling. laser drilling, other clarity and color enhancements may be undetectable to the eye, it is the responsibility of the customer to notify JD Smith Jewelers of these pre-existing conditions JD Smith Jewelers is not responsible for stones that may be damaged in setting or during repair work due to these unknown conditions. I further understand that the store is not responsible for loss, damage and or theft of my jewelry unless proven it was due to the store's negligence. I have read, and understand this disclaimer of lability, its purpose being to induce this store to repair my jewelry, and I agree to he bound by all of its terms and conditions.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Your items will be repaired or engraved as written on the front of this sheet, Verbal orders aren't seen: Be sure it is in writing on this claim check. Items listed here will not be surrendered without your receipt. Without a receipt, we will require positive identification from one of the person(s) named on this receipt.

ITEMS LEFT OVER 6 MONTHS MAY BE SOLD TO RECOVER REPAIR AND SERVICE COSTS.
